Welcome to the summer edition
of Concert's newsletter.
Whilst the sun may not have been shining everyday (we can always dream) there's definitely a sense of holiday fever in the air.
In this edition, we're updating you on our customer survey; there's an informative article on fraud, plus an interesting case study of one of our customers, Robert Lizar. We're also providing a little insight into what the team has been up to during the summer.

Customer survey
Many thanks to those of you who have kindly provided us with some feedback on how we're doing; it's really important to our business to understand what we do well and the areas where we need to improve.
The online survey is working really well so we've kept it running through the summer; our intention is to report back our results to you in the autumn. We have already started reviewing your feedback and taking action to address some of the areas we need to work on.
We're so focussed on ensuring we are gathering and acting on your feedback, that the survey results now have a direct impact on our account managers' and support team's bonus. If you haven't yet completed the survey, we urge you to take just 5 minutes and share your thoughts with us. Click here to complete the survey now.
Remember, to say thanks for taking part we'll enter you into a free prize draw and you'll have the chance to win either £100 of John Lewis vouchers or donate £100 to a charity of your choice.

Peace of mind against fraud
Fraud is becoming a major problem for businesses using PBX. The growing technical sophistication of cyber criminals means they are turning their attention away from conventional Internet scamming towards telephony. The unprotected nature of the open architecture used by many modern PBX systems means it has become easy for criminals and so called 'phreakers' to hack systems and plant dialler malware to bypass LCR systems for connection to premium rate numbers.
Concert is pleased to announce the arrival of LineGuard. This innovative software is designed not only to detect but also to stop fraudulent activity. LineGuard uses a sophisticated algorithm to detect unusual calling patterns or charge rates in a customer billing account. When such instances occur, the system acts in real-time to notify your business of this activity. A request can then be made to put a bar on further calls to the suspect numbers or charge rates. This new service offers peace of mind and protection against telephony fraud.
LineGuard will be fully operational in October, protecting all customers who manage their calls through Concert.
If you'd like to find out more about how Concert can help you detect and prevent telephone fraud, please call us on 0808 208 2400.

Our talented team get training...
It's fair to say the summer has brought out the sporty tendencies (and a few competitive streaks) in the team. Adam Hardman (pictured in a typical sporty pose) has jumped straight in at the deep end and will be attempting the Tatton Triathlon in September - cycling ("should be ok"), running ("I'm dreadful"), and swimming ("could be interesting") will make for a challenging time. Good luck to you!
Our newest recruit to the Support team, Tim Rathbone, has been out and about trail biking this summer so we just need to find him a suitable challenge too... suggestions on a postcard! But the talent doesn't stop there: James Crowther's band has been gigging in France this year, delighting the crowds in Bordeaux and Toulouse... someone give Simon Cowell a call!
